Quick answer

I want to talk to boat builders whose boats are difficult to find in the valuation sources lenders use. You can build a terrific boat and still have buyers run into a financing obstacle because the lender cannot support the requested advance.

The boat and the evidence are different things

A buyer may know the craftsmanship. The lender needs information it can use under its program. Specifications, model identification, engine configuration, invoices and documented completed sales can help explain the product. What the lender accepts still has to be checked.

This matters for the first buyer and potentially for the person who buys the boat used later. A thin valuation record can make the financing conversation harder even when the boat is desirable.

Let's find out what is missing

I cannot promise that sending information will get a brand into a guide, change a published value or make every boat financeable. I can help identify the questions we need to ask for a real transaction.

If you are a builder, contact me with the models you produce and the information available. If you are a buyer, send the listing before assuming that “not in the book” means either “no problem” or “cash only.”
