From the personal boating archive. References to recent purchases and planned upgrades below describe the story when it was written.

The Newest Addition to the Fleet

My family and I have always been boaters. It is one of our many passions. We have been enjoying the waters of North Carolina all of our lives, and have always owned some type of watercraft for as long as I can remember. From my first little 16' Alumicraft to my first offshore boat—a 25' Hydrasport Vector—and many other boats. Some call it an addiction... We call it living our best life while we can!

For the last few years, we have been more family-oriented on our 21' Hurricane deck boat and we LOVE IT. This boat will most likely stay with us for a long time. But until now, I have been fishing on other boats like the team boats—a 27' Seahunt Gamefish and a 30' Seahunt Gamefish which was replaced recently with a 34' SeaLion.

Bringing Home the Chase-N-Raes

We decided it was time for us to bring home our own center console again. We would like to welcome the Chase-N-Raes to our family!

  • Model: 27' Everglades
  • Power: Twin Yamaha F250s
  • Condition: Pre-owned, low hours

She is not new, but she is a solid boat, and we have been making the upgrades as needed. We've added:

  • New Simrad electronics
  • Atlas Trax GPS Tracking
  • Icom radios

Soon enough, she will be wearing new JL Audio speakers and amps to go along with the Fusion head unit. Come follow our new pages on FB and Instagram @chasenraes.
